Barbara S. "Bobbie" Wagoner, 86, of 241 Higgins Bay Road, Piseco, died Monday, December 9, 2013, in the Eastern Star Campus, Oriskany, NY.
Barbara was born in Carthage, NY on December 22, 1926, the daughter of the late Abner and Anita Dionne Stewart. She was a graduate of Augustinian Academy in Carthage. She married Frank Wilson Wagoner on December 7, 1946. They resided in Higgins Bay on Piseco Lake.
Bobbie was very active in her community as she was a member of St. James Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Piseco Ambulance Corps, the Poland Ambulance Corps and the TWIGS. She also was a member of the Ladies Golf league and couples league. She was an avid bowler at the Pine Cone Alley where she bowled a 299 in her league and continued her bowling at the Gloversville Lanes. Bobbie remained very physically active until very late in life and could be seen walking the Higgins Bay Road or ice skating on the Frog Pond. She was a very devoted mother running two households for over 20 years so that her eldest daughter Karen could attend Poland Central School for special education.

Bobbie is survived by three daughters, Kathy Wagoner, Janet M. Germain and Joanne Cruz; one son, James Wagoner; eight grandchildren, Catherine, Jackie, J.C., Jess, Thomas, Dana, Samantha and Anthony; and five great-grandchildren; her siblings, Rose Bezanilla, Tom (Peggy) Stewart, Bill (Eileen) Stewart and Anita McManus; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilsie; her daughter, Karen; her brothers, Walt, Tim and Richard Stewart; and a sister, Mary Lou Oliger.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Major Church, Pleasant Lake with the Rev. Sony G. Pulickal, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Higgins Bay Cemetery. A calling hour at the church will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
