Darlene G. Ripple, age 57, of Johnstown, passed away in the comfort of her home on the morning of Sunday, December 8, 2013, after a long illness.
Born on February 9, 1956, daughter of the late Edward Patulski and Eleanor Hoffman Patulski, who survives, of Palatine Bridge.
She was a graduate of SUNY Empire State College and Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
Darlene was employed by the Greater Johnstown School District until her retirement in 2012.
She was a member of the Foothills United Methodist Church of Gloversville.
Her greatest joys were her family, polka dancing, ballet and riding her motorcycle; she was a member of the United Polka League of Utica and served as president of the AMVETS Motorcycle Riding Club of Fort Plain.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Ripple Sr., whom she married on May 29, 1986; two sons, Edward (fiancee, Nancy) of Fairfield, CT, and Frank (fiancee, Colleen) of Broadalbin; one daughter, Christine of Johnstown; two brothers, Michael Patulski and Paul (Martha) Patulski; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her sister, Gail Patulski.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 12, at 11 a.m., at the Foothills United Methodist Church, 17 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown.
