Remember loved ones at the Tree of Lights

December 4, 2013
The Leader Herald

On Sunday at 2 p.m., the Wells House Auxiliary will host its annual Tree of Lights Ceremony in the activities room of the Wells Nursing Home.

Each light on the tree is either in memory of or in honor of a loved one. A light may be purchased for $5 and forms are available at the Wells Nursing Home or by calling Barbara at 762-7675. The donor and honorees' names are posted on the bulletin board in the lobby, and if the honoree wishes, acknowledgements will be sent to the honoree's family.

At the ceremony Sunday, the outdoor tree and a new indoor tree decorated with angels will be lit by the mayor of Johnstown and a board member of the Wells Nursing Home. The public and families of residents are encouraged to attend and bring their family member to the ceremony. Christmas music, punch and cookies baked by auxiliary members will be available.

Please consider donating and joining us for this event.

BARBARA H TAYLOR and

CAROL BARTHOLOMEW, co-chairwomen, Tree of Lights Committee
