Girls Basketball Roundup: Dolgeville wins season opener, 52-26

WESTMORELAND -Emilie Lewandowski scored 16 points to lead the Dolgeville girls basketball team to a 52-26 win over Westmoreland on Monday.

Jackie Bange finished with 10 rebounds, eight points and seven steals for the Blue Devils (1-0 overall), while Amanda Carpenter had 13 points and nine rebounds. Matina Mouyos added eight rebounds and six points for Dolgeville, which led 34-8 at the half.

Jeanna Hauk scored 10 points to lead Westmoreland (0-1 overall).

Canajoharie Tournament

Galway 54, Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 39

CANAJOHARIE - Erica Chase scored 13 points to lead Galway to a 54-39 win over the Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville girls basketball team in the consolation game of the Canajoharie Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday.

Felicia Snyder finished with 10 points for Galway (1-1 overall).

Rylie Smith scored 18 points to lead the Lady Wolves (0-2 overall), while Mahrari Freeman finished with 10 points.

Snyder and Smith were both named to the all-tournament team.
