JOHNSTOWN - A town man was arrested by Fulton County sheriff's deputies Saturday, accused of assaulting and imprisoning of his girlfriend.

Deputies said Jeremy M. Tyrell, 24, of 117 S. Pine St., was charged at his home with third-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment.

Deputies said he was charged in connection with a domestic incident involving his girlfriend at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at his residence. Deputies said the victim indicated Tyrell hit her head, face and body, breaking her nose, bruising her eye and her ribs and knee. He also wouldn't let the victim leave the residence, deputies said.

Tyrell was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
