Food drive delivered goods

November 24, 2013
The Leader Herald

On behalf of the Twin Cities Council of Churches, I would like to thank the Boy Scouts and their leaders and their parents and the Johnstown Reformed Church youth group and volunteers who helped make the November Food Drive so successful.

The youngsters helped distribute plastic bags Nov. 2 and helped pick up the donated food on Nov. 16. They also helped separate the food and put it on the shelves. Thank you to everyone who helped to organize the drive; they collected 1,600 items.

The Johnstown Food Pantry has been in existence for 28 years, and without the generosity of the community, this organization could not help serve the needy.

Once again, I thank the good citizens of Johnstown and all the churches, who so willingly have helped keep the food pantry doing its work.

KATHY MICKEL

Johnstown Food Pantry co-coordinator
