H.S. Bowling Roundup: Mayfield, Fort Plain split season opener

GLOVERSVILLE - The Mayfield and Fort Plain boys bowling team split their season opener, 2-2, in a Western Athletic Conference match at Arterial Lanes on Monday.

Anthony Brandow led Mayfield, rolling games of 224, 201 and 198 on his way to a 623 series. Alex Colby posted a 208-532 for the Panthers, wile Adam Colby rolled a 186-495. Jordan Hastings added a 175-478 for Mayfield.

David Wilday paced Fort Plain with a 234-560, while Kyler Duff posted a 244-549. Aaron Honeywell rolled a 181-507 for the Hilltoppers, Drew Fureno had a 206-504, and Kyle Rodeo added a 228-500.

Fort Plain finished with a 2,715-2,583 advantage in the total pin count.

Canajoharie 3, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 1

CANAJOHARIE - James Fiaschetti rolled a 194-560 to lead Canajoharie to a win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo in a Western Athletic Conference match at Iroquois Lanes.

Ryan Weaver finished with a 209-551 for the Cougars, while Trevor Brownell had a 221-525.

Derek Hempstead paced Berne-Knox-Westerlo with a 230-597, while Greg Gustafson addeda 194-531.

Canajoharie finished with a 2,581-2,525 advantage in total pins.

Mayfield 4, Fort Plain 0

GLOVERSVILLE - Bryanna Hammond had a high game of 181 on her way to a 506 series, leading Mayfield to a sweep of Fort Plain in a Western Athletic Conference match at Arterial Lanes.

Virginia Johnson posted a 179-501 for the Lady Panthers, while Cheyan Pilchen added a 169-452.

Sabrina Richtmyer led Fort Plain with a 126-350.

Mayfield finished with a 2,403-1,374 advantage in the pin count.

Canajoharie 4, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 0

CANAJOHARIE - Amy Reedy posted a 157-445 series to lead Canajoharie to a sweep of Berne-Knox-Westerlo in a Western Athletic Conference match at Iroquois Lanes.

Kiara Putnam added a 159-440 for the Lady Cougars.

Hannah Young had a 132-332 series to lead Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Canajoharie finished with a 1,823-1,317 advantage in total pins.
