John G. Logan Sr., 67, of Gloversville, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 9, 2013, following a short illness.
Born on February 7, 1946, in Gloversville, he was the son of the late Bernard S. and Jessica D. (Lake) Logan.
John was a 1963, graduate of Gloversville High School and a 1967, graduate of Norwich University in Vermont. John then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was employed as a manufacturing manager for various companies including Kraft Foods and General Electric Co.
In his younger years he enjoyed playing volleyball and golfing. John was also an accomplished skier and enjoyed competing when he was younger.
He is survived by two sons, John G. (Patty) Logan Jr. of Queensbury and Jeffrey W. (Patti) Logan of Melbourne, Fla.; four grandchildren, Sarah Logan and Nicholas Logan, both of Queensbury and Ashley Logan and Jeffrey Logan Jr., both of Melbourne, Fla.; one great-grandchild, Emma Logan of Melbourne, Fla.; a brother, Richard J. (Linda) Logan of Gloversville; two sisters, Susan J. Lebo of Esperance and Martha J. Logan-King of Oswego; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013, at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
