Kindness of community appreciated

November 13, 2013
The Leader Herald

The Berkshire Volunteer Fire Department wishes to express our sincerest thanks to all who recently attended our annual roast beef dinner in our new firehouse. We were overwhelmed and pleased by the support of our friends and the members of our community. According to our members who have been around since the inception of our dinner, this was the largest one to date, and our thanks is owed to you for making that possible.

We also would like to publicly thank three businesses in our community that each year donate to Berkshire and our dinner with gift certificates and items in which we prepare the meal: Price Chopper, Stewart's Shops and Hannaford supermarkets. We realize we live in a small community and every organization around is always asking the same businesses to help them, so it is greatly appreciated that you include us as an organization which you choose to support. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Again, from the members of the Berkshire Fire Department, thank you, and we hope to do this again this spring.

DEB FINKLE and the

Berkshire Volunteer Fire Dept.
