Mrs. Mildred Irene Tamulewicz, known to her friends as Millie T., age 78, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully at home Nov. 10, at 2:14 p.m. surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer. She was born Mildred Irene Byers on Oct. 12, 1935, to the late Dewey and Maude Byers in the town of Canajoharie.
Her family includes: one son, Frank S. Tamulewicz of Gloversville; two daughters, Dorothy P. Del Signore (Michael) and Jennifer M. Creech (Leslie) of Virginia; two granddaughters, Christina M. Finkelstein (Jason) of New Jersey and CarolAnn M. DelSignore of Virginia; three grandsons, Robert E. Burden of Washington, D.C., Zachary F.J. Reyome and Christian G. Reyome, both of Virginia; one stepdaughter, Donna C. Tamulewicz of New York; one sister, Evelyn Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank S. Tamulewicz Jr.; and two brothers, George and Charles Byers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, New York.
A special heartfelt thank you to all of her friends and caretakers especially Joanne (Jodi) Culver, her best friend for their time and kindness throughout her illness.
A service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. at the Amsterdam Funeral Chapel, 13 Belmont Place, Amsterdam, New York 12010.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m..
Burial will be in st. John's Cemetery in Amsterdam. A reception will be immediately following.
