Thaddeus J. "Ted" Pyzik Jr., age 61, of Johnstown, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013, at home.
He was born on September 6, 1952, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Technical High School.
Mr. Pyzik served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He was employed as a bus driver for the Fort Plain School District.
Ted was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Montmeny Pyzik, whom he married on June 5, 1982; one son, Mike (Julia) Pyzik of Scotia; two sisters, Rosemary Conder of Issaquah, Washington and Cheryl Zapata of Springfield, Massachusetts; his mother, Frances Zygarowski Pyzik of Springfield, Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Jaydan, and Evan; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Thaddeus J. Pyzik Sr.; and a brother, Michael D. Pyzik.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown.
Visitation for friends and family will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at a later date at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
