Nolan, Pritzker win justice race

ALBANY - Republican-Conservative candidates Thomas Nolan and Stan Pritzker won seats Tuesday as the newest justices in the state Supreme Court's 4th Judicial District.

Democrat Mark Powers, who ran unsuccessfully for the same bench post last year, came up short again in the three-way race.

The state Board of Elections gave these district totals for the candidates: Nolan - 106,516 votes; Pritzker - 91,604 votes; and Powers - 69,894 votes. The 11-county district includes Fulton, Montgomery and Hamilton counties.The tri-county area voted this way: Fulton County: Nolan - 6,270, Pritzker - 5,361, Powers - 2,917; Montgomery County: Nolan - 5,886, Pritzker - 4,712, Powers - 3,281; Hamilton County: Nolan - 2,169, Pritzker - 437; Powers - 584.
