JOHNSTOWN - An employee of a local drug store was arrested by Fulton County sheriff's deputies last month in connection with a theft.

Deputies said Mikaela L. Orapello, 24, whose address was not disclosed, was arrested Oct. 18. Said she was charged with felony counts of falsifying business records and grand larceny.

Deputies said that while working at the CVS store at the Arterial Plaza in the town of Johnstown, Orapello used her position to steal money and merchandise from the store and alter business records to hide the theft, deputies said.

She will appear later in Town Court.
