Terry Carl Retersdorf

Mr. Terry Carl Retersdorf, age 67, passed away at his home in Pass Christian, Miss. on November 1, 2013.

He was born on November 23, 1945, and raised in Gloversville, New York. Terry served four years in the Unites States Navy, including a deployment on the USS Forrestal.

He received two bachelor's degrees, and was a physician assistant working recently at Cedar Lake Medical Center in Biloxi. His favorite community activities were serving as chairman of the Logistics Committee for Art in the Pass, and volunteering for the Pass Christian Historical Society and the Pass Christian Library. His favorite personal pursuits included woodworking and building things (sometimes bringing D.I.Y. to a whole new level!), playing the guitar, enjoying a beer, and watching football (Go Giants! Go Saints!).

He was predeceased by his father, Robert Carl Retersdorf; mother, Beverly Cederholm Retersdorf; and brother, David Retersdorf. Survivors include his wife, Mary "Meg" Retersdorf; stepdaughter, Jamie Moore; stepson, Alfred Hodges; grandchildren, Ian, Lila, and Vivian; and brothers, Tom (Madelyn) Retersdorf and Mike (Julie) Retersdorf; six nephews; and several wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 4, 2013, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Pass Christian, Miss. at 2 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pass Christian Historical Society or the Pass Christian Library.
