Angel-pin sales benefit family

MAYFIELD - A fundraising effort involving the sale of angel pins for Anna King, who needs a heart transplant, and her family is under day.

Anna, 13, is originally from Mayfield and now lives in Texas.

The pins cost $3 each, according to a news release.

The pins can be purchased at the following businesses: Vintage Cafe and Railside Cafe in Johnstown; the Gloversville Sewing Center, Bona Liquor and Post Net in Gloversville; Deb Hannis' Hair Peace and Teddi Knapp's Shop, and Core Fit in Mayfield; and Adirondack Country Store in Northville.

The pins also will be sold at various local events. People also can contact Liz Argotsinger at 774- 8717 or argotsinger18@hotmail.com.

The pins will be available until Christmas. All of the money from the pins is deposited in an account set up at NBT Bank. The total will be made known to the King family during Christmas week, when the family will be presented with a check, the news release said.
