Sir Bills to host youth hoop program

October 30, 2013
By The Leader-Herald (sports@leaderherald.com) , The Leader Herald

JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown Sir Bills boys basketball program will host youth basketball programs for all boys in grades four through six within the Johnstown School District.

These programs will provide the boys with the opportunity to learn about the game of basketball.

The fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade boys will be formed into teams and compete in the Little Hustlers basketball league.

The league is composed of teams from the area. The teams will play games on Saturday afternoons.

This is a travel league and parents are responsible for bringing their child to the game. The Little Hustlers basketball league is not an intramural league.

In addition to playing games, each team will practice at least once a week.

It will be up to the coaches to establish which day their team will practice.

Registration will take place Nov. 9 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Johnstown High School Gymnasium.

The $25 registration fee is due at sign-ups. Parents should attend to get any questions answered.

For more information, call Matt Guzielek, Johnstown varsity boys basketball coach, at 774-4885.
