Kevin M. Mondoux, 25, grandson of Marvin and Joyce Mondoux of Stillwater, died tragically Sunday, Oct. 20, in Georgia, while riding a new bicycle along a highway, was struck by an alleged drunk driver.
Born in Missouri, July 7, 1988, he was son of Michael Mondoux and Shelbie Witte of Thomasville, Ga. and Kimberley and Eric Schroeder of Hinesville, Ga.
Kevin joined the U.S. Army immediately following high school graduation, and served seven years, including a year in Korea and a year in Iraq. He was discharged in May of this year. Kevin earned numerous medals, including the Army Commendation Medal, the Korean Defense service Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal with two battle stars.
An extremely caring man, Kevin loved spending time with his family, taking care of animals, and enjoyed reading.
Survivors, in addition to his parents and grandparents, include his two sisters, Clarisse and Kaitlin Mondoux, both of Georgia; his aunt, Vicki and Kevin Schuette of Ballston Spa, their kids Ryan, Kelsey and Zachary; stepfamily members, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A burial service with military honors will be held Thursday, Oct. 31, at noon at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville.
There will be no public calling hours.
