Thanks for helping book and bake sale

October 24, 2013
By EILEEN WRIGHTSMAN , The Leader Herald

The Friends of the Gloversville Public Library would like to once again thank the community and many volunteers who helped to make our recent book and bake sale a great success.

Thanks to everyone who donated books, to those who came to buy books, and to those who donated baked goods for the bake sale. Many thanks go to our group of volunteers - Carolyn Siarkowski, Lois Edwards, Joan Ciaccio, Kay Fassett, and Ann Mallin - who meet every week to sort through all the donated books.

They do a great job sorting and organizing the book room. Thanks to Wanda Ellis for arranging for all the delicious baked goods. Thanks to all who volunteered to work on the days of the sale: Anita Beck, Sue DeLilli, Kay Fassett, Pat Donovan, Ginni Mazur, Linda Stevens, JoAnn Clear, Anna Brooks, Bonnie Clizbe, Myrna Longhenry, Grace Lomanto, Donna Gendron, Rosemary Buggeln, Jean VanPelt, Carolyn Siarkowski, Joan Ciaccio, Sandy Kicinski, Lois Edwards, Mary Jane Fredericks, Nancy Krawczeski, Lynn DiMarco, Antoinette Tropia and Lisa Buggeln. Thanks also to George Emden, John Mazur and Jim Flint for their ongoing help with recycling.

Our next Friends' Book and Bake Sale is scheduled for June 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. and June 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Be sure to save the date. If you would like to make donations of books, DVDs or current magazines you may leave them at the front desk or call the library (725-2819) to arrange for pick-up.

Once again, thank you for supporting our Gloversville Public Library.
