Florence E. Sollak, age 72, of Johnstown, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013, at The Capital Living Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Schenectady.
Born on July 8, 1941, in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. Hoffman and Mary Lathers Hoffman.
Florence was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Johnstown Reformed Church.
On May 6, 1961, she was united in marriage to Florian Sollak and he died on October 27, 2002.
Survivors include one son, Stephen (Kelly) Sollak of Gloversville; three daughters, Mary Santiago of Gloversville, Cheryl (Doug) Peters of Johnstown and Karrie Sollak of Johnstown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Sollak; a sister, Lena VanAlstine; and great-granddaughter, Kayedence Steenbergh.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown. The Rev. Brian Dykema will officiate.
Visitation for family and friends will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville.
