MAYFIELD - State police said two men were arrested Monday after threatening to use a weapon in an attempt to steal money.

Joshua P. Moore, 24, and Samuel T. Moore, 20, of Mayfield, were both charged with first degree-attempted robbery, endangering the welfare of a child and petit larceny.

Police said troopers received a complaint of an attempted robbery at the Fulton County Visitor Center, 3687 Route 30. Police said the Moores threatened the use of a weapon to try and steal the victim's money. The victim was able to give a description of the two men, police said. The Moores were located during a search of the area, police said.

Both men were arraigned and sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
