I have lived in Johnstown most of my life. I grew up here and graduated from Johnstown High School in 2002, and upon completion of my studies I joined the Navy and left the area. I was honorably discharged this past July and have chosen to return to Johnstown to start my post-military life.
Mr. Jeffers is a lifelong resident of Johnstown and cares a great deal about its future. After graduating from the State University of New York at Cortland he returned to Johnstown to become a teacher and give back to this community. He dedicates his time and money to many athletic and educational groups, he is a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the YMCA, and he currently serves as a member of the Johnstown Water Board.
Having grown up with Scott I know he has a strong work ethic and will be able to accomplish a lot of good for the city. He understands what Johnstown needs to move successfully into the future and is willing put in the time and effort to ensure its prosperity. Scott is willing to address the tough local issues like blight, cooperating with other municipalities, engaging the city's youth, while also addressing the concerns of the senior members of our community. Scott knows how to reach across the aisle and work with people of varying political backgrounds to achieve the goals necessary to improve Johnstown.
Scott is devoted to this city and all of its residents. I know Scott Jeffers is the best candidate for the mayor of Johnstown. So when you go to the polls Nov. 5 to elect a new mayor, vote for the person who will make the biggest difference; choose Scott Jeffers.
