JOHNSTOWN?- Laurence K. Zuckerman, Fulton-Montgomery Community College assistant professor of accounting and business, was awarded the John G. Boshart Community Action Award at Fulmont Community Action Agency's recent 16th annual awards dinner.
The award was named after former longtime Fulmont Community Action Agency board member and former FM President John Boshart and is given to people or organizations who are community-minded and have assisted the agency with accomplishing its mission of helping people and changing lives, according to a news release.
"Larry has been a great supporter of our organization," said Denis Wilson, executive director and chief executive officer of the agency. "For years, he has helped us out by teaching tax law for our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program volunteers ,which allows those who qualify to receive free federal and state tax preparation. We appreciate Larry's long-term support and commitment to the agency."
