Boys Soccer Roundup: Tartans blank Dragons, 2-0

GLOVERSVILLE - Kettrick Bailey and Dan Clune scored to lead Scotia-Glenville to a 2-0 win over Gloversville in a Foothills Council boys soccer contest at Gloversville High School on Wednesday.

Scotia-Glenville improved to 8-5-1 overall and 8-4-1 in Foothills Council play with the win.

Gloversville slipped to 4-11 overall and 4-9 in Foothills Council play.

Queensbury 8, Hudson Falls 0

QUEENSBURY - Chris Goodemote finished with a goal and two assists, powering Queensbury to a shutout win over Hudson Falls in a Foothills Council contest.

Alliston McFarlane and Preston Hendrick each had a goal and an assist for the Spartans (13-1-1 overall, 11-1-1 Foothills), while Jimmy Doty, Jon Meacham, Cole Crotty and Allistane McFarlane also scored.

Matt Reeves had two assists for Queensbury, while Tone Laophet added one assist.

Tyler Raymond made just one save to post the shutout win in goal for the Spartans.

Kyle Rich made six saves for Hudson Falls (3-10 Foothills).

South Glens Falls 1, Glens Falls 0

GLENS FALLS - Jace Lenon scored the game's only goal, lifting South Glens Falls to a shutout win over Glens Falls in a Foothills Council contest.

Evan Chase made five saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Bulldogs (11-2 Foothills).

Patrick Resse made seven saves for Glens Falls (2-13 overall, 2-11 Foothills).

WAC

Northville 3, Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 0

NORTHVILLE - Will Wilson finished with a goal and two assists, leading Northville to a win over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville in a Western Athletic Conference contest.

Tyler Henderson and Brandon Blowers also scored for the Falcons, who outshot the Wolves 21-5.

David Onzo added an assist for Northville (12-1-3 overall, 12-1-3 WAC).

Tim Monette made three saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Falcons.

Nate Trumble and Austin Swartz combined to make seven saves for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (8-5-1).

Northville now awaits the pairings for the Section II Class D Tournament which will be announced Tuesday. Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville will play its third contest in as many days today when its travels to Saratoga Catholic

Mayfield 1, Canajoharie 0

MAYFIELD - Todd Briggs scored the game's lone goal in the second half, leading Mayfield to a win over Canajoharie.

Riley Yager assisted on the goal for the Panthers.

Lucas VanNostrand made three saves to post the shutout win in goal for Mayfield (9-4-2 overall, 9-4-2 WAC).

Sam May made four saves for Canajoharie (2-12 overall, 2-12 WAC).

Galway 2, Saratoga Catholic 2

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Zach Hartman and Conor Bradshaw scored for Galway, which played Saratoga Central Catholic to a tie.

Hunter Roy had two assists for the Golden Eagles (3-9-1 overall, 3-9-1 WAC).

Liam Rice and Michael Naughton scored for Saratoga Catholic (9-3-2 overall, 9-3-2 WAC).

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 3, Middleburgh 0

MIDDLEBURGH - Lukus Becker, Jimmy McGill and Maclin Norray scored, leading Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a shutout win over Middleburgh in a WAC South Division contest.

Travis Fairlee added an assist for the Bulldogs (11-2-1 overall, 11-1-1 WAC).

Middleburgh slipped to 6-5-1 in WAC play with the loss.

Sharon Springs 1, Mekeel Christian 0

SHARON SPRINGS Jacob Kennedy scored the lone goal, lifting Sharon Springs to a win over Mekeel Christian Academy.

Tyler Bianchine made nine saves to earn the shutout win in goal for the Spartans (1-12 WAC).

Jacob Kahler made three saves for Mekeel Christian (3-10-1 WAC).
