ROCHESTER - Johnstown graduate Kassandra Buseck, a junior outside hitter on the Nazareth women's volleyball team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the period that ended Sunday.

Buseck guided the Golden Flyers to five non-conference victories last week as she totaled 36 kills (3.27 per set) in 65 attempts for a .415 hitting percentage. She also had four service aces and six blocks.

In a three-set sweep of the University of Rochester last Wednesday, Buseck had nine kills in 23 attempts for a .261 hitting percentage. She also hit .727 (9-1-11) against Cazenovia and .417 (8-3-12) against Keystone as Nazareth improved to 20-6 overall.
