Girls Soccer Roundup: Albany Academy tops Fonda-Fultonville

ALBANY - Ashley Teliska finished with two goals and an assist, leading Albany Academy for Girls to a 9-3 win over Fonda-Fultonville in a Colonial Council girls soccer contest Tuesday.

Emma Hardy had two goals for Albany Academy, while Valerie Taylor had a goal and two assists. Laurel Downie, Maura Mulligan and Annika Tomson also scored for Albany Academy.

Ellie Daly finished with five saves for Albany Academy.

Adriana Gomez, Julianna Taylor and Shelby Wadsworth scored for Fonda-Fultonville (1-13 overall, 1-13 Colonial).

Ashley Hulbert and Alexis Halpin combined to make 13 saves for the Lady Braves.

Foothills Council

Scotia-Glenville 11, Hudson Falls 0

SCOTIA - Kim Denny and Olivia Dunn each scored two goals, leading Scotia-Glenville to a win over Hudson Falls.

Emma Hyland, Nicole Polsinelli and Alyssa Williams each finished with a goal and an assist for the Lady Tartans (11-3 overall, 10-3 Foothills), while Courtney Conover, Gracie Mailey, Kelsey Martin and Abby O'Connor also scored.

Maddie DeRidder made 22 saves for Hudson Falls (0-13 Foothills).

WAC

Middleburgh 7, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 0

MIDDLEBURGH - Amanda Roney had four goals and three assists, lifting Middleburgh to a win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Julia Beekman, Taylor Cater and Sam Peprosino also scored for the Knights.

Olivia Hamm and Carley Ryan each had an assist for Middleburgh (6-4 WAC).

Kiera Morgan had four saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Knights.

Monique Britton made 14 saves for Berne-Knox-Westerlo (3-7-1 WAC).
