Boys Soccer Roundup: Hudson Falls slips past Sir Bills, 1-0

JOHNSTOWN - Jerald Kilmartin scored the game's only goal in the first half, lifting Hudson Falls to a 1-0 win over Johnstown in a Foothills Council boys soccer contest Tuesday at Johnstown High School.

Leonard Kilmartin assisted on the goal for the Tigers.

Kyle Rich made one save to post the shutout win in goal for Hudson Falls (3-9 Foothills).

Jon Heroth made four saves for Johnstown (2-11-1 overall, 2-10 Foothills).

WAC

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 1, Canajoharie 0

CANAJOHARIE - Devon Battisti scored the game's lone goal in the first half, leading Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to a win over Canajoharie.

Nate Trumble made 13 saves for the Wolves (8-4-1 overall, 8-4-1 WAC).

Sam May made eight saves for Canajoharie (2-11 overall, 2-11 WAC).

Wolves netminder Nate Trumble made 13 saves including a stop on a breakway late in the second half.

Canajoharie is scheduled to travel to Mayfield today for a 7 p.m. contest.

Northville 7, Fort Plain 0

NORTHVILLE - Will Wilson finished with two goals and an assist, leading Northville to a shutout win over Fort Plain.

Jacob Junquera, Tyler Henderson, David Onzo and Kalob Russell each posted a goal and an assist for the Falcons, while Wolfgang Reinke also scored.

Brandon Blowers added an assist for Northville, which outshot Fort Plain 19-1.

Tim Monette made one save to post the shutout win in goal for the Falcons (11-1-3 overall, 11-1-3 WAC).

Robert Thomas made seven saves for Fort Plain (4-11 overall, 4-11 WAC).

Northville will host Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville today at 4:15 p.m.

Big 10

Amsterdam 1, Schenectady 0

AMSTERDAM - Greyson Mullins scored on a header to lift Amsterdam to a win over Schenectady at Lynch Literacy Academy.

Jared Gallup assisted on the goal for the Rams, who are 5-0-1 in their last six contests.

Amsterdam improved to 7-5-2 overall and 4-5-1 in Big 10 play.

Amsterdam will host Albany on?Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Colonial Council

Albany Academy 7, Fonda-Fultonville 1

FONDA - John Moutopoulos had four goals and an assist to lead Albany Academy to a win over Fonda-Fultonville.

Dami Osofisan finished with two goals and an assist for the Cadets, while Jordan Lockridge also scored. Michael DeVito and Emanuel Gomez each had an assist for Albany Academy (10-3 Colonial), which outshot FFCS 32-7.

Christian Van Avery scored the lone goal for Fonda-Fultonville (3-11 overall, 3-11 Colonial).

Ian Donlon and Michael Goodman each made three saves for the Cadets, while Tyler Folmsbee had eight saves for the Braves.

Northern Soccer League

Wells 1, Keene 0

KEENE - Stephen Raymond scored the lone goal, leading Wells to a shutout win over Keene.

Raymond's goal, which was assisted by Seth Weaver, was scored with 22:32 left in the first half.

Ben Brenan made 22 saves for Wells (10-1 overall, 10-1 NSL).

Brandon Dumas and Max Rossi combined for 10 saves for Keene.

The Indians will host Crown Point on Thursday at 4 p.m. in their regular-season finale.
