Police investigate another assault

JOHNSTOWN - City police are investigating another assault outside a city bar.

Sgt. Christopher Stevens said today a North Carolina man was assaulted outside of Partner's Pub, 21 S. William St., at about 2 a.m. Saturday. He said the victim suffered unspecified injuries.

Stevens said the Police Department received a report about a "disorderly" incident and a man being unconscious on the barroom floor. When officers arrived, he said, the combatants were ushered outside by bar employees and then the victim was assaulted further. He was taken by the Ambulance Service of Fulton County to Nathan Littauer Hospital.

"He doesn't remember anything," Stevens said of the victim.

He said police aren't sure if that's due to intoxication or a blow to the head.

Stevens said the incident is under investigation. Police are awaiting a surveillance video from the pub that may shed more light on what happened.

It was the second incident of violence reported by police outside a city tavern on consecutive weekends. Police also reported Christopher Parker, 37, of 36 Fourth Ave., Gloversville, was badly beaten in an incident that started at 1:35 a.m. Oct. 5 on the sidewalk outside O'Connor's Pub on North Perry Street. That incident - still under investigation - resulted in the arrest of Ashlee D. Ralbovsky, 25, of 97 Lincoln St., Gloversville. She was charged with a felony count of second-degree assault.
