Man sent to jail on DWI charge

JOHNSTOWN - A Johnstown man convicted on a felony driving while intoxicated count was sentenced Friday in Fulton County Court to one year in the county jail.

Steven T. Dillenbeck, 35, of 165 Edick Road, also was sentenced by Judge Richard C. Giardino to a $1,000 fine, as part of a plea arrangement.

The sentence was based on Dillenbeck's April 23 guilty plea before Giardino to one felony count of DWI.

He was arrested Dec. 17, 2011. He was indicted by a county grand jury Sept. 21, 2012 on charges of felony DWI and misdemeanor resisting arrest.

Deputies said he was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition at 5:55 p.m. on Old Peck Hill Road in the town. The indictment says Dillenbeck also pulled away while being handcuffed by a deputy and fought while being put in a patrol car.
