Michael Julius has lived in Johnstown all his life. He attended Johnstown schools, graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy at Union College, and after working for 20 years in pharmacies, opened a very successful pharmacy of his own in Broadalbin. Now retired, he decided to run for mayor of Johnstown after several friends and acquaintances urged him to do so.
Michael is well aware of the work that needs to be done to bring back prosperity to Johnstown and the surrounding areas. He has put forth an agenda that he hopes to start on day one when elected.
Michael's emphasis is on jobs. He is committing himself to work with the Fulton County Industrial Development Agency to bring large companies into the area.
Having known Michael for many years, I strongly believe he will not act in a partisan way. I don't believe Democrats or Republicans will be able to solve the problems alone, and Michael will certainly work with those who look for benefits for Johnstown regardless of party. His agenda to bring corporations to the area will benefit both Glove Cities (that is why I am plugging for him), getting hi-tech manufacturing jobs in, decreasing property taxes, working with schools and improving neighborhoods. His integrity and vision have been well- shown in his successful business endeavors.
The people of Johnstown know what needs to be done. I am simply suggesting that a person who is a devoted family man for 35 years, educated, successful in business, generous in many ways and has a love and a vision for his beautiful city, would be worthy of your consideration to vote him in as mayor of Johnstown.
