Theresa M. (Tuniz) Groshans, 94, of Ephratah, died peacefully Oct. 8, 2013, with her family by her side at St. Mary's Hospital.
Born Aug. 19, 1919, in Udine, Italy, she was the last of a family of 13.
She married William Groshans in 1948, who died in February 2000.
For many years she worked at Sherman's in Caroga Lake.
Survivors are daughters, Emma Murphy of Fort Plain, Maria Bingerman of Ephratah; grandchildren, Nancy James, William Murphy Jr. of Fort Plain, Angela Sweet of Gloversville, Joshua Sweet of North Carolina, and Miranda Sweet of Ephratah; great-grandson, Loran Van Arsdal Jr.; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Smith; also five in North Carolina; several nieces and nephews in U.S. and Italy.
Services will be held at Fort Plain Senior Center, Canal Street at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, with a family gathering to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville.
