JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown field hockey team has joined with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to participate in its fundraising campaign entitled Play4theCure.

Johnstown will be raising funds during its game against Glens Falls today at 5 p.m. at Knox Field. The players will wear pink socks in support of the cause, and players from both teams will also wear pink headbands in support of the cause. Admission to the game will cost $1, and there will be "pink" snacks offered at the concession stand. All proceeds will be donated to NFCR.

For more information on Johnstown's involvement with the campaign, contact assistant coach Christine Krempa at ckrempa@frontier.com.
