H.S. Volleyball Roundup: Gloversville scores non-league win over Schoharie

JOHNSTOWN - Annie Stock finished with 12 kills, 10 digs and four aces to lead Johnstown to a 3-0 victory over Glens Falls in a Foothills Council volleyball contest Wednesday.

The Lady Bills won by scores of 25-16, 25-9 and 25-7. The victory clinched the Foothills Council crown for the Lady?Bills.

Alyssa Nellis had eight digs, four aces, two kills and two blocks for Johnstown (11-0 Foothills), while Jerica Holland posted 11 assists, three aces and two digs. Morgan Catania had eight assists, four digs and an ace for the Lady Bills, and Hannah Breda posted four kills and one block.

Broadalbin-Perth 3, Hudson Falls 0

BROADALBIN - Maddie Gurga finished with 18 digs, eight kills, four assists and four aces to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a sweep of Hudson Falls. The Lady Patriots won by scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-23.

Gabby Smith posted 11 assists for B-P (9-3 overall, 8-3 Foothills), while Regan Reed added six kills.

Reagan Collier-Hogan had 14 service points, eight digs and six kills for Hudson Falls (8-6 overall, 5-6 Foothills), while Tanner Barton added 12 kills and 10 digs.

Gloversville 3, South Glens Falls 0

GLOVERSVILLE - Jenna Putnam posted 15 assists and six kills, leading Gloversville to a sweep of South Glens Falls.

The Huskies won by scores of 25-10, 25-8 and 25-18.

Christina Pavlovsky had 10 assists for Gloversville (12-3 overall, 8-3 Foothills), while Katlyn Pierce had 12 kills. Ana Kroup added six kills for the Huskies, while Stacia Griesemer, Alex Bielli and Chelsey Biasini each had three kills.

WAC

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 3, Saratoga Catholic 2

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Kyleigh Hayner finished with 12 digs, six kills and four aces to lead Oppenheim-Ephratah St. Johnsville to a win over Saratoga Central Catholic.

The Lady Wolves won by scores of 28-26, 18-25, 21-25, 25-18 and 25-16.

Shelbey McCumber posted five digs, four kills and two aces for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (3-9 overall, 3-9 WAC), while Kendell Sweeney had six digs, five assists and three aces. Samantha Lamphere added five digs, two aces and two kills for the Lady Wolves.

Emily Miller recorded 23 digs, 13 service points and seven aces to lead Saratoga Catholic, while Kaylie Fish had 18 points, six assists and three aces. Liza Orsini posted 26 digs, six kills, four points and two aces for the Lady Saints, and Meghan Shea added eight points and three aces.

Duanesburg 3, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 0

BERNE Rachel Gamache finished with 17 kills to lead Duanesburg to a sweep of Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

The Eagles won by scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-14.

Taylor Martineau had 17 assists for Duanesburg, while Brittany Adams posted 13 assists. Tori Dykstra finished with 11 service points and six digs, while Katy Dunn added eight kills, eight digs, two aces and one block.

Shannon Stone led Berne-Knox-Westerlo with 17 digs, four blocks, four service points and two kills, while Christina Grippin had 13 service points and four aces. Michaela Horlacher finished with eight assists, four service points, three aces and two blocks, and Kathryn Salo added eight digs, three kills and two blocks.

Big 10

Troy 3, Amsterdam 0

TROY Riley Martin finished with nine aces, six kills and two blocks, leading Troy to a sweep of Amsterdam. The Flying Horses won by scores of 25-20, 25-20 and 25-16.

Bailey Hogan posted 11 aces for Troy, while Chontell Lanier had three aces and two kills.

Cassidy Arocho had four assists, three aces and one kills for Amsterdam (2-10 overall, 2-8 Big 10), while Destiny Smith had four aces. Britanee Brown added two kills for the Lady Rams.
