Girls Soccer Roundup: Dolgeville hands Little Falls its first defeat

DOLGEVILLE - Three different players scored as Dolgeville handed Little Falls its first loss of the season in a Center State Conference girls soccer contest Wednesday.

Emilie Lewandow-ski, Amanda Clark and Sarah George all scored for the Blue Devils, while Courtney Hart added an assist.

Maria Morotti and Kelli Shepardson scored for Little Falls (11-1 overall), which defeated Dolgeville 11-0 on Sept. 19 in Little Falls.

Katie Millard made 16 saves, including one on a penalty kick, to earn the win in goal for Dolgeville (5-8-1 overall).

Cheyenne Rivenburg made one save for Little Falls, which is ranked 13th in the latest state Class C poll.

WAC

Mayfield 2, Fort Plain 1

FORT PLAIN - Julie Hampton scored two second-half goals for Mayfield, which rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to post a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fort Plain.

Maria Messina had an assist for the Lady Panthers, who finished with a 9-4 edge in the shot count.

Soren Shirley scored the lone goal for Fort Plain on an assist from Chelsea Shultis.

Maria Messina and Megan Frasier combined to make three saves for Mayfield (1-11 overall, 1-8 WAC).

Fort Plain slipped to 0-12-1 overall and 0-9-1 in WAC play with the loss.

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 7, Galway 3

GALWAY - Abby Mosher finished with three goals and an assist, leading Oppenheim-Ephratah/St, Johnsville to a victory over Galway.

Tabea Salzmann and Rylie Smith each had a goal and an assist for the Lady Wolves, while Jessi Hagadorn and Megan Bradt also scored.

Erica Chase scored twice for Galway, while Felicia Snyder also scored. Molly Mancini added an assist for the Golden Eagles.

Leann Clark made seven saves for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (10-3-1 overall, 8-2 WAC).

Lindsey Naughton and Haleigh Podrazik combined to make 29 saves for Galway (5-6 WAC).

Canajoharie 7, Middleburgh 3

MIDDLEBURGH - Ariannah Logan finished with two goals and three assists, powering Canajoharie to a victory over Middleburgh.

Jenelle Dillenbeck had two goals and an assist for the Lady Cougars, while Jordan Hammons scored twice.

Jordyn Logan also scored for Canajoharie (10-3 overall, 9-1 WAC).

Amanda Roney had two goals and an assist for Middleburgh, while Taylor Cater had a goal and an assist.

Lauren Balfe made nine saves for the Lady Cougars, while Kiera Morgan had 17 saves for Middleburgh.

Mekeel Christian 3, Sharon Springs 0

SHARON SPRINGS - Nicole Pigliavento scored two goals, leading Mekeel Christian Academy to a win over Sharon Springs.

Macie Holmes also scored for the Lions, while Nicole Barritiere and Lindsey McCarty each had an assist.

Rebekkah Dean made two saves to post the shutout win in goal for Mekeel Christian (6-2-1 WAC).

Samantha Jackson made nine saves for Sharon Springs (1-9-1 overall, 1-6 WAC).

Schoharie 9, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 1

BERNE - Kaitlyn Kendall and Caroline Krohn each had a goal and an assist, leading Schoharie to a win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Lauren Archer, Seana Cleveland and McKenzie Phelan each had a goal and an assist for Schoharie (10-0 WAC), while Monica Rivette and Kassidee VanGasbeck also scored.

Desiree Palmateer added two assists for Schoharie.

Delaney Martin scored the lone goal for Berne-Knox-Westerlo (2-6-1 WAC).

Foothills Council

Broadalbin-Perth 6, Glens Falls 0

BROADALBIN - Katie Herba finished with three goals and three assists, leading Broadalbin-Perth to a shutout win over Glens Falls on Tuesday.

Danielle Biggers had two goals and an assist for the Lady Patriots (12-1 overall, 9-1 Foothills), while Kylie Gifford also scored. Katie Sala added an assist for Broadalbin-Perth.

Rachel Orapello made one save to post the shutout win in goal for the Lady Patriots.

Demi Vanderheyden had 10 saves for Glens Falls (1-10 Foothills).

B-P is scheduled to travel to?Queensbury on Friday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
