David C. Lince, 67, of Meadow Street, Gloversville, died Monday, October 7, 2013, at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born on July 10, 1946, in Gloversville, N.Y., the son of the late Paul and Doris Shutters Lince.
David was a United States Navy veteran serving from 1962 to 1966. He was employed by the City Transit as a bus driver for the City of Gloversville for many years.
He was a former member of the VFW of Gloversville and loved bowling, golf and an occasional trip to the casino.

Survivors include his children, David J. Lince of Dalton, Mass., Jeremy (Donielle) Lince of Gloversville and Michele (Douglas) Lennon of Mayfield; two brothers, Paul (Kathleen) Lince of Ballston Spa and Richard (Cynthia) Lince of Gloversville; two sisters, Elizabeth (George) Kadle of Mayfield and Carolyn (Joseph) Kadle of Gloversville. Five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive him.
He was predeceased by his son; John P. Lince Sr.; his brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Loretta Lince; and his sister, Charlene Lince.
There will be no calling hours our funeral service. Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Sunday, October 13, 2013, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Gloversville Moose Lodge, 140 E. State Street Ext., Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice. Arrangements are by the Gloversville Funeral Home.
