GLEN - The weekly meeting Tuesday of the Glen-Mohawk Seniors was called to order by Charlene Pollock, president, followed by the morning prayer given by Alan Taylor, the Pledge of Allegiance and "My County 'Tis of Thee" was sung, led by Debbie Nelson.

Joe Mancini and Mary Nordby were welcomed back by the club.

The roll call was taken, which showed there were 44 members present along with one guest.

The secretary's minutes were approved as read. Olive Taylor gave the treasurer's report, which will be filed for audit.

Willie Vallieu noted the next social event will be a Halloween party Oct. 29, with more details to follow. Olive Taylor gave a report on the September luncheon and stated that KFC gave the group a discount, which resulted in the club getting a refund.

Next week will be the final day to sign up for the Oct. 21 trip to the Turning Stone Casino and signups are now being taken for the Nov. 25 trip to the Hilton Garden Inn.

Pollock reminded everyone the yearly committee reports are due.

The nominating committee read the names of the slate of officers for the coming year.

Linda Gray read an account of the recent Cape Cod, Mass., trip.

Marlene Augustine reported 37 people have already signed up for the Oct. 15 installation banquet. An agenda for the Frothingham Free Library was available to anyone interested.

There will be a Nov. 5 soup and sandwiches luncheon.

D. Dorine Dimond gave a reading. The winners of the 50-25-25 raffle this week were Norma Egelston and Florence Stanton.

A meeting adjourned. The ending prayer was given by Alan Taylor and bingo was played later, with Peg La Barge calling the numbers, assisted by Lois Collins.
