Little Huskies to host fundraiser

October 4, 2013
By The Leader-Herald (sports@leaderherald.com) , The Leader Herald

GLOVERSVILLE - The Gloversville Little Huskies will honor a dear friend, former coach and board member today.

Sean Armstrong was involved in a motorcycle accident a month ago and is suffering from a traumatic brain injury. This day is a way to honor Sean; to come together as a community to wish for a full recovery.

The Little Huskies ask that everyone wear red, Armstrong''s favorite color.

Throughout the day, there will be 50/50 raffles, as well as baskets and donations to bid on. At 3 p.m, red ballons will be sent skyward and a moment of silence will be observed to pray for Sean's recovery.

All money raised throughout the day from raffles will be donated to Sean's family.

Games begin at 9 a.m. and the last game will begin at 4:30 p.m.

For more information, call Carrie Allen at 844-4435 or visit the Little Huskies' Facebook page at Gloversville Little Huskies Youth Football.
