H.S. Volleyball Roundup: Gloversville sweeps Scotia-Glenville

GLOVERSVILLE?- Jenna Putnam finished with 37 service points and 18 assists, leading Gloversville to a 3-1 win over Scotia-Glenville in a Foothills Council volleyball match Wednesday.

The Huskies won by scores of 25-9, 25-11, 20-25 and 25-2.

Katlyn Pierce posted 10 kills and four blocks for Gloversville (9-3 overall, 6-3 Foothills), while Shawna Funk registered six kills.

Bianca Bustamonte posted 20 digs and five aces for Scotia-Glenville, while Hannah Berning finished with 13 digs and five kills. Morgan Adams added 11 assists and five aces for the Lady Tartans.

Hudson Falls 3, Glens Falls 0

HUDSON FALLS - Katie Clouse had 17 assists and eight aces to lead Hudson Falls to a s sweep of Glens Falls.

The Tigers won by scores of 25-8, 25-10 and 25-16.

Geneva Strong added six digs and four kills for the Tigers (7-5 overall, 4-5 Foothills), while Hannah Mager added nice aces.

Queensbury 3, South Glens Falls 0

QUEENSBURY - Katelyn Ripley finished with 10 kills and three aces, leading Queensbury to a sweep of South Glens Falls.

The Spartans won by scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-20.

Kristen O'Connor posted 21 digs and two aces for Queensbury, while Courtney Keys had six kills.

Mackenzie Collier had 19 digs for South Glens Falls (3-6 overall, 3-6 Foothills), while Megan Woodell had 12 digs. Kassondra Kreppin added four kills for the Bulldogs.

Big 10

Albany 3, Amsterdam 1

AMSTERDAM - Schuyler Honikel finished with 17 digs, helping Albany to a win over Amsterdam.

The Lady Falcons won by scores of 25-8, 26-24, 24-26 and 25-17.

Angie Avalos had 10 service points for Albany (7-1 Big 10), while Mylah Chandler posted 10 kills.

Brittanie Brown finished with six service points, six assists, one kill and one block for Amsterdam (2-7 overall, 2-5 Big 10), while Destinee Smith had seven service points, six kills and one ace. Yarinez Diaz added 12 digs for the Lady Rams.
