Wells Indians remain undefeated

WELLS - The Wells Indians kept their unbeaten record intact with a 6-2 victory over Indian Lake-Long Lake Friday at Wells High School.

Adrian Collado, Matt Michienzi and Dave Foster scored first half goals for the Indians (7-0 overall).

Michienzi, Steve Raymond and Ken Chicoski tallied second half goals. Seth Weaver had two assists for the Indians, while Foster, Chicoski and Collato had one apiece

Ben Brenan collected eight saves in goal for Wells as the Indians outshot Indian Lake-Long Lake 33-10.

Middleburgh 2, Mayfield 0

MAYFIELD - Middleburgh made the most of a pair of free kick opportunities to topple the Panthers Friday night at Mayfield High School.

Austin Roney scored on a deep free kick 26 minutes into the first have, while Brody Smith delivered on a second-half direct kick with 12 minutes remaining.

Middleburgh out shot Mayfield 6-2 for the match and held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Lucas VanNostrand recorded four saves in net for Mayfield, while Austin Smith had two saves for the Knights.

Canajoharie 5, Sharon Springs 0

CANAJOHARIE - Elijah Bowley had three goals and Logan Sala added two more to give the Cougars a victory under the lights at Canajoharie High School.

Sala Scored off an assist from Sam May and later had an unassisted goal.

Bowley scored off assists from May and Mike Mazzarella as well as having an unassisted goal.

Zachary Young had eight saves in goal on nine Sharon Springs shots for Canajoharie, while Donovan Roberts stopeed 10 of the Cougars 16 shots on goal.
