JOHNSTOWN - The Fulton-Montgomery Community College volleyball team went 2-1 Sunday on its home court during a six-team pod play event.
The Lady Raiders defeated SUNY Delhi 3-0 by scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-9, and they posted a 3-0 win over Tompkins-Cortland by scores of 27-25, 25-12 and 25-18. FMCC's lone loss came against Broome Community College 3-2 by scores of 25-22, 25-19, 19-25, 16-25 and 15-9.
Whitney Ostrander had 34 kills, 18 blocks and six aces on the day for FMCC (5-4 overall), while Sarah Wyzomirski posted 30 kills and nine blocks. Taylor Wetsky had 10 kills and five blocks for the Lady Raiders, Shelbey Lyons posted 94 assists, and Elizabeth Hayward had 51 digs and 12 kills. Gabby Hale added 30 digs for FMCC and Caitlin Hayward had 77 digs.

Herkimer County Community College went 3-0 with wins over Tompkins-Cortland (3-0 - 25-11, 25-23, 25-10), SUNY Delhi (3-0 - 25-19, 25-9, 25-10) and Broome (3-1 - 28-30, 25-23, 25-20, 25-23).
Johnstown graduate Brynn Hlozansky had 1 kills, five aces and five digs for Herkimer against SUNY Delhi, while Johnstown graduate Zara Hyde had 30 assists. Dolgeville graduate Ashley Mettler added five kills and two digs for the Lady Generals.
In Herkimer's win over Tompkins-Cortland, Hlozansky had five digs, four kills and two aces, Mettler had six digs and five kills, and Hyde had 18 assists and three digs.
Against Broome, Hlozansky finished with 10 kills and six digs, Hyde had 51 assists, eight digs and three aces, and Mettler posted 15 digs and 13 kills.
In the day's other matches, Broome defeated Mohawk Valley (3-0 - 25-20, 25-20, 25-16), Mohawk Valley defeated Tompkins-Cortland (3-0 - 25-15, 25-16, 25-12) and SUNY Delhi defeated Mohawk Valley (3-2 - 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 23-25, 15-9).
Mayfield graduate Karissa Morey is a member of the SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team.
