ST. JOHNSVILLE - Montgomery County sheriff's deputies said two Connecticut men were arrested Sunday after they were found trespassing, and digging for Herkimer diamonds.
Tyson Peter Hoffstadt, 34, of Ansonia, Conn., and Richard Jon Blakeman Jr., 30, of Naughatuck, Conn., were both charged with trespassing and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Deputies said both men were found in a rock quarry in town, digging for Herkimer diamonds. Deputies said they found the men in possession of marijuana.
Both men were processed and issued tickets to appear in court, then released. The men are expected to appear in Town Court on Oct. 9.
