JHS girls tennis loses to Queensbury

JOHNSTOWN - Queensbury won all five singles matches and both doubles contests on its way to a 7-0 win over Johnstown in a Foothills Council girls tennis match Friday.

Rebecca Sung, Sidney Scheid, Amanda Rawson and Amanda Ling won singles matches for Queensbury, which also won by forfeit at No. 5 singles.

Megan Roop and Lindsey White won at No. 1 doubles for the Spartans, while Holly Raesly and Berlin Barboza won at second doubles.

On Thursday, Johnstown dropped a 5-2 decision to South Glens Falls.

Christine Arnold and Katie Holodock won singles matches for the Bulldogs, who also won by forfeit at fifth singles.

Katie VanZardt and Dani Baldwin won at No. 1 doubles for South Glens Falls, while Paige Moore and Alba Rodriguez won at No. 2 doubles.

Angie Smith and Victoria Baker won singles matches for Johnstown (0-7 overall, 0-6 Foothills).
