GLOVERSVILLE - The Ida L. McGinnis Club met Sept. 3 with 40 in attendance. Doris Dingman, organist, opened with a hymn.
President Arla Fonda led in "The Lord's Prayer." She also led in the Pledge of Allegiance and in singing "America" with the assistance of Mary Priolo. Hello to our neighbors was expressed, a news release said. The reports of Shirley Frederick, secretary, and Linda Zilka, treasurer, were accepted as read. Jeannie McDuffie reported there are still seats open for the Sept. 17 casino trip. If interested, call McDuffie at 725-8396. Jeanette Fonda gave the sunshine report.
Plans are being made for the December Christmas party. Elaine Boyd and her committee are in charge of the decorations.
The July and August birthdays were celebrated. The winners were Angie Riggeri for July and Jeanette Fonda for August. The 50-50 winners were Linda Gray, Linda Thompson, Mary Renda and Dorothy Roy.
Due to the elections, there was no meeting Tuesday. The next meeting will be Sept. 24, when Sue Orcutt from the Office for the Aging will be the guest speaker.
Dingman played the closing hymn. The meeting adjourned. Ice cream and cake were served. Frederick called bingo.
