Storm damage at Peck Lake

September 13, 2013
The Leader Herald
The upper end of North Shore Road at Peck Lake was severely damaged by thunderstorms Wednesday. Caroga Lake Volunteer Fire Department Chief Barbara DeLuca said her department responded to 10 calls in the area of North Shore Road, Route 29A and County Highway 137. “Trees were down all over the place, and wires,” she said. “All of a sudden, we got multiple calls.” She said no injuries were reported. Her firefighters helped remove trees on houses. National Grid reported no power outages in that area as of this morning. In this photo, a fallen tree is seen on a deck at 497 North Shore Road on Thursday.
