ALBANY-A Canajoharie man was arraigned Monday on a felony robbery indictment.

Victor Shear, 45, of Canajoharie, pleaded not guilty to one count of first-degree robbery before Judge Peter A. Lynch in Albany County Court.

The indictment alleges Shear showed a gun and demanded money while at a TrustCo Bank on New Scotland Road in Slingerlands.

Shear was captured in South Carolina and waived extradition back to New York state, officials said.

He was sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.

Assistant District Attorney Steven Sharp of the Legal Affairs Bureau is handling the prosecution of the case.
