GLOVERSVILLE - A man was flown to Albany Medical Center on Saturday afternoon after suffering injuries when he fell from a tree on Third Street.
Fire Chief Beth Whitman-Putnam said today the incident occurred at 1:55 p.m. Saturday at 70 Third St. She declined the name the victim.
"There was a subject cutting a tree branch on an extension ladder," she said.
She said for an unknown reason, the man fell 20 feet to the ground. He suffered unspecified injuries and firefighters responded with initial medical treatment, she said. An ambulance took the victim from Third Street to Gloversville High School, from where he was flown by medical flight to Albany Medical Center. His condition was unknown today.
