BROADALBIN - The Regional Animal Shelter in Gloversville will hold its second annual Woofstock fundraising event from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday at The Robin's Nest, 230 Stevers Mills Road, according to a news release.
The premise for the event is to host an event much in the style of Woodstock in order to raise money for the animals of the animal shelter. There will be a variety of musical guests including Flame, Cleen Street with sound provided by DJ Sound Militia, the release said.
The doors will open to the music event at 1:30 p.m. The admission cost is $10 at the door. Children younger than 14 will be admitted with the donation of a dog-related product, like dog food, paper towels, laundry soap, disinfecting detergent, dog treats, dryer sheets or garbage bags.
Admission includes food inside the building. A cash bar will be available. In addition to music, there will be 50-50 and basket raffles, Regional Animal Shelter T-shirts, bracelets and ornaments for sale and more, the news release said.
There will also be a craft fair from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. outside at the Robin's Nest. Admission is free to the craft fair.
Crafters can purchase a spot for $20. Contact Robin Markert at 883-8484 to reserve a spot, the news release said.
All of the money raised will go directly to the care of the animals at the shelter, the news release said.
