BROADALBIN -The Johnstown Lady Bills proved to be spoilers Saturday at the annual Broadalbin-Perth Tip-Off Tournament.
The Lady Patriots were seeking their second-straight tournament championship, however Johnstown eked out the victory on game scores of 25-13, 23-25 and 25-23.
Both teams advanced through pool play with perfect 6-0 records.

The Lady Bills advanced to the championship match by defeating Mayfield 25-18, 25-17, while Broadalbin-Perth rallied to defeat Gloversville in a rematch of last year's championship match, 23-25, 25-19, 25-19.
Gloversville and Galway tied in Pool B play with identical 3-3 records and played a one-game playoff which the Huskies won 25-21 to advance to the semifinals.
Fort Plain rounded out the Pool B play with an 0-6 record.
In Pool A, the Lady Patriots were 6-0 while Mayfield finished 4-2 followed by Fonda-Fultonville at 2-4 and Amsterdam at 0-6.
In the championship match Broadalbin-Perth's Chelsea LaBlanc recorded seven kills, while Maddie Gurga had four kills and three assists and Gabby Smith had 20 assists.
Johnstown's Annie Stock recorded 44 kills and 26 digs in the tournament, while Hannah Breda had 18 kills and eight blocks and Alyssa Nellis had 13 kills, 12 blocks and 20 digs. Jerica Holland recorded 67 assists on the day while Madison Smrtic had 22 digs.
