August 28, 2013
The Leader Herald

AMSTERDAM - State police said a woman was arrested recently after troopers learned she had 20 suspensions on 10 separate dates on her driver's license.

Stephanie L. Murtha, 43, of Gloversville was charged Aug. 20 with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony and possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor.

Police said troopers on Route 30 stopped Murtha for speeding and learned about the suspensions. Police said troopers also, with permission, searched her vehicle and found three hypodermic needles in the center console.

She was issued tickets and is scheduled to appear in Town Court on Thursday.
