Charles W. Failing

Charles W. Failing, age 70, of Fort Plain, N.Y., passed away peacefully on August 20, 2013, with his loving family by his side.

Charles was born on May 22, 1943, in the town of Minden, to the late George and Lula Failing. Charles enjoyed mowing his lawn and hunting. His biggest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. Charles was employed for 34 years to the local union 35 as a laborer. Charles also served in the United States Army from 1962-1965.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Failing, whom he was married to for the past 48 years. He also was survived by his three children, Todd and Robin Failing, Timothy and Mariella Failing, and Valicity Ann and Zane Spaulding; his grandchildren, Jovonna and Neil Kretser and Marcus Failing, Timothy and Nicole Failing, and Joseph Kurcharski Jr. and Zane Spaulding.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at his residence on August 31, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
