Police: Cocaine found in vehicle

August 20, 2013
The Leader Herald

CAROGA - State police said troopers charged two men with possessing cocaine after a traffic stop early Sunday morning.

Scott A. Fedorczyk, 49, of Niskyuna, was charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Matthew J. Many, 49, of Northville, also was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Troopers said Fedorczyk and Many were pulled over after Fedorczyk was seen driving erratically. A white powder was seen in a line on the center arm rest, troopers said, which both men denied knowledge of.

Troopers said a small plastic baggie containing a white powder was found in Many's pants pocket.

The powder in the baggie and the vehicle later tested positive for cocaine, troopers said.

Troopers said Fedorczyk was shown to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.16 percent.

Both men were released to appear in the Town Court at a later date.
